Haus of Noire to Expand Facilities That Will Help Youth Build Their Self-Esteem Through Fashion and Art

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / June 9, 2023 / Haus of Noire Academy , a school program that cultivates the next generation of leaders in the fashion industry, will be expanding throughout the five boroughs of New York City and Westchester County in May 2024. The nonprofit will be opening new state-of-the-art facilities that will provide its students with full access to safe spaces, hands-on training, workshops, and recreational activities.

The academy was created by fashion industry veteran Raymond Lyles, who is also the Founder of Haus of Noire, a New York nonprofit. Through Haus of Noire Academy, Lyles and his team are working to transform the culture of the fashion world and to support young adults of all genders with the ability to express themselves and be who they are. The academy provides a comprehensive education in self-esteem, anti-bullying, and model-related training skills, with the goal of equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful entry into the fashion industry.

Until recently, Haus of Noire Academy was sharing a facility at Lehman College in New York City. However, Lyles and his team decided to invest in their models and youth performers by expanding into larger buildings that would allow for better practices and greater success in other endeavors.

"Our priority is to have our very own space so that we can accommodate a larger audience and offer our students cutting-edge equipment to enhance the quality of their performing arts productions and fashion shows," says Lyles. "Our new facilities are going to be miles beyond our previous location, and we could not be more excited."

At each facility, Haus of Noire Academy students will have hands-on access to advanced lighting systems, high-quality sound systems, large video screens for projections and displays, and augmented reality or virtual reality technology for more immersive experiences.

"Our students will be able to learn how a well-designed, professionally executed lighting and sound plan can help to set the mood and tone of a performance and generate anticipation among the audience," Lyes says. "We can't wait to open so that the community can see how talented our students really are."

As preparations continue, Haus of Noire Academy is focused on creating programs that will leverage the additional space and technological capabilities and on hosting a grand opening for families and students in the community.
